Review for Salvation by Noelle Adams

Salvation

by Noelle Adams

You get to the point where you can just say it. There was never anything special about me, except my father is rich and important. That's why it happened.

It was just a normal Tuesday afternoon. I was twenty-three and thinking about my new designer boots. They kidnapped me for ransom. They raped me before I was rescued. My therapist says that talking about it means I'm starting to heal.

I don't really think I am.

It's even harder to talk about Gideon. He couldn't save me when it really mattered, so he keeps trying to save me now. He refuses to give up on me, and I can't make him understand. There are some things you just can't be saved from.

Salvation is a love story that follows a difficult path of healing after sexual assault. It is a true romance, but it addresses very hard issues, including rape and attempted suicide. The novel is not, however, about captivity and violence. It is about love, healing, and hope.

My 4.5 star review
Diana is a beautiful young woman who sees herself as just an average woman. She works at an antique shop. He father is an executive and has tons of money. So let’s just say that he gets into bed with the wrong people.
Gideon is a sexy undercover FBI agent. He got his cover blown while he was on an assignment so now he is a prisoner and just waiting for his time to come. They will kill him, that is what he is thinking but he is hoping that his team will come in and save the day.
Diana and Gideon meet in the worst kind of way EVER. They are both prisoners and they have no other choice but want to fight for each other to stay alive. Things happen to both of them but one has it way worse than the other. When things happen to individuals they deal with it in many different ways.
The first chapter of this book will crush your heart. I was in shock and my heart broke for Diana and Gideon I wanted to rip through the book and save her from all the pain she endured. WOW. After I finished the first chapter I had to put the book down for a minute and take a mini breather. Talk about intense, raw, real, and very emotional! Sweet baby Jesus this book is killing me, it is so good that I can’t put it down.
I just finished this book and I am not going to lie it was pretty amazing. I know for a fact that this book can and will help comfort so many woman out there. That is what makes this book freaking amazing. I feel a close bond with Diana and I wanted to make her better.
This is the first book from Noelle Adams that I have read. Congrats on such a heart-breaking, intense, real, raw, emotional, beautiful, breath taking, wonder, fabulous, amazing story! AND yes I mean all of that. Once you pick this book up you will understand and agree with all these words!

About the Author

Noelle handwrote her first romance novel in a spiral-bound notebook when she was twelve, and she hasn't stopped writing since. She has lived in eight different states and currently resides in Virginia, where she teaches English, reads any book she can get her hands on, and offers tribute to a very spoiled cocker spaniel.
She loves travel, art, history, and ice cream. After spending far too many years of her life in graduate school, she has decided to reorient her priorities and focus on writing contemporary romances.
