My 5 star review

I have read a lot of books and have only reviewed a hand full of them. I have to be honest and say that this is the hardest review that I have ever had to do. EVER! I normally start with the character and tell you a little about then but not this time. So here goes…..

E.K. Blair you literally wrote a book that is far from any book that I have ever read. I have to say that when I was 28% into this book I had to but it down and take a breather from it. Yes people this book is that intense. No scratch that intense isn’t the right word to use the right word to use is Dark! Then once I hit 50% is said forget I can’t read this book anymore it hits to close to home and I won’t finish it. But then I sat down and said I am not a quitter and I have been waiting to read this book.

So I messaged E.K. Blair on good old Facebook and told her that I was 50% into this book and I need to put it down and that I would pick it back up in the morning. And I am a woman of my word and I did just that.

With all that being said this book is dark, cold, calculated, dangerous, crazy, sad, twisted, heart-stopping, gut-wrenching and a million other words. This book is not like any other book, trust me. I was an emotional wreck while reading this book. I cried, yelled, screamed, and wanted to kill someone. Nina is the main character and she is beyond broken. She lived in hell for years and she in my opinion lost herself years ago. She is fucked up period there is no other word that I can use to describe her emotional state. (sorry mother for the language) All I can say is this book will blow your damn mind! BLOW YOUR DAMN MIND! I had no idea that this story would unfold the way that it did. I am still in shock and speechless.

I can’t wait for book 2 to come out. E.K. Blair I have no clue how you put all this together. You took a story that I am sure has happened to woman and men out there and made it real. I know that sounds crazy but when you read this book, it is as if you are sitting in a group of friends and listening to someone tell their story. I just sucked in and trapped into this story. This author stepped way out of her box and pushed the limits and succeeded.

So Congrats E.K. Blair on pushing the limits of writing! You have balls of steel and you never stopped writing and you didn’t give up on this story!
