Review for Never Never by Colleen Hoover & Tarryn Fisher

Never Never
Colleen Hoover & Tarryn Fisher

"How odd to be made of flesh, balanced on bone, and filled with a soul you've never met."
Charlize Wynwood and Silas Nash have been best friends since they could walk.  They've been in love since the age of fourteen.
But as of this morning...they are complete strangers.
Their first kiss, their first fight, the moment they fell in love...every memory has vanished.
"I don't care what our real first kiss was," he says. "That's the one I want to remember."
Charlize and Silas must work together to uncover the truth about what happened to them and why.  But the more they learn about the couple they used to be...the more they question why they were ever together to begin with.
"I want to remember what it feels like to love someone like that. And not just anyone.  I want to know what it feels like to love Charlie."
Never Never: A Novella Series, Part One.

My 3.5 Star review (I really did like this book)

I don't know where to begin because I am still sitting here in front of my computer saying "What in the heck just happened". So I will just come out and be honest with you I always am.
Charlize is a young woman who literally comes to in one of her classrooms in high school. Yes, I said it comes to… She can't remember a darn thing, not what she wore yesterday, what her name is, who her parents are, not a darn thing.
Silas is a young man who is in the same boat as Charlize....and they are girlfriend and boyfriend. Or so they are told..... Silas family housekeeper told him that he has been in love with Charlize since before they could even walk. (Strange, well yes it is)
So at this point you pretty much know that neither one of them can remember a damn thing.... I am confused because I want to know what is wrong with them. Where they drugged? Did they take some drugs? What happened to them to make them forget everything they know?
Now there are something’s that are odd and you think there are clues but now that I am done reading this book I am not even sure anymore. I mean....
One…there was blood on Silas bed sheets. Two…Charlize's father is in prison. Three… her father and his father used to be Financial genius’s together. Four…Charlize has been cheating on Silas. Five…Silas has been sleeping with his guidance counselor.
I am very sorry that I gave you some things that may or may not spoil this read for you, but I am a complete mess RIGHT NOW!!!!! I have so many questions and there are zero answers.... I just want to pull my hair out at this very moment.
Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher really screwed me up with this book. I mean once you pick up this book you will not put it down until you are finished. At the end of the day I am a mess of emotions, because I need to know everything and now I have to wait.

So cliffhanger isn't even the word I want to use. The ending of this book will slap you in the face...why because this is the mother load of all cliffhangers and it is one big ass *itch. So get ready and enjoy :)

Colleen Hoover's love for writing began in 1985 when she was five years old. Her first story was titled "Mystery Bob" and was a huge hit with her mother, who was really good at faking interest.
Colleen continued to write short stories for friends and family until December of 2011, when she decided to write a long story she titled, "Slammed." She self-published SLAMMED to Amazon in January, 2012 and it hit the NYT's bestsellers list in May, 2012. She has since signed with Atria Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, and now has six NYT's bestsellers. Colleen prefers to be called a writer, as the term "author" still terrifies her and makes this feel like a job with expectations. She doesn't work well under pressure and hopes writing will always remain fun and exciting.
Colleen's newest novel, UGLY LOVE, releases August 5th, 2014. She is currently working on a new novel, CONFESS, which she is writing as fast as she can before she wakes up from this crazy dream.

You can follow Colleen on Instagram and Twitter @colleenhoover. You can also find her on her blog at where she holds a daily book-a-day giveaway, or on her very active Facebook page at where she loves to give away more free stuff when her husband isn't looking.

Colleen also wants the world to know that writing short biographies in third person is incredibly awkward.

New York Times & USA Today bestselling author Tarryn Fisher is cooler than you, but not one to rub it in your face. She graduated first in her class at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She is a lover of human nature, and a real life villain (House of Slytherin). Her heart is dark, but she loves you with it anyway. Currently she lives in Washington with her son and daughter, and is working on her fifth novel, Marrow.

**Bound by custom or unique by choice.**

There's something about the written word that's pure magic.
Possibly it's the fact that there are 26 letters in the English alphabet, and they can create something so beautiful or so empowering that they're able to change our lives.

How important is it that we break suit and stretch our minds?

I like to think of myself as 'unique'. My stories aren't for everyone, and sometimes I may push what you believe to be 'normal'.

Normal is subjective.

I prefer to be known as a person who's never been 'bound by custom' but is 'unique by choice'.

Until next time

This is the first book in the Darkness series, a wishing evil upon others novel that can be read as a standalone.

Due to mature content and violent situations, this book is recommended for readers 18 years and older.

Grabbing her roughly by the arm, he hauled her back until she was flush against him, her back to his front.  Grinding his erection into her ass, he lowered his lips to her ear.  “You think you can push me like that and I won’t respond?” He taunted, nipping her ear painfully.  She let out a low moan, her body beginning to betray her.

“You’re mine.  I won’t share you, and I’ll be damned if I let anything happen to you, Gwyn.  The sooner you get it through your head that I own you now, the better.”  His hand trailed down her body, cupping her aching pussy through her shorts.  Feeling her heat, he groaned.  Dragging them backwards, he hit one of the tall trees, his hands coming up to brace her shoulders.

“Brady, please,” she begged.  Her body was a slow fire, desire taking over every part of her being.  This man and his fierce possessiveness of her awakened a darkness in her she didn’t know existed.  He pinched her nipples roughly through her thin shirt, her back arching against him.

“You want my cock, sugar?  Right here out in the open?”

✮ RELEASE DATEFebruary 3rd!

Some secrets are too dark to ever be brought into the light.

At least mine are.

My name is Orson Winters, and you already know too much for me to let you walk away.

A decade has passed since my parents were killed, forcing my younger siblings and me to move in with our estranged uncle. Whitestone Manor in all its grandeur was overwhelming enough. Then, we learned the family secret.

There’s darkness in the world no one, besides a handful of fighting families, even knows exists. The Winters family is the most acclaimed of them all. However, power isn’t always pleasurable, especially considering that it’s my responsibility to keep my reckless brothers and sister from jeopardizing us all.

When an old enemy emerges from the shadows, Uncle Sebastian calls in another fighting family to assist. I didn’t need their help. I could independently protect my siblings and the rest of the world from danger. That was, until I met Lilith Shaw. Now I’m not even sure that I can protect myself.

I can’t focus on that, though.

I’m the last one standing between you and those who wait in the darkness.

If you can keep a secret, I’ll tell you my story.

Blog Tour: Gwendolyn vs. the Band of Barren Hearts by Mary E Palmerin

Other books by Mary:

Genre:  Dark Erotic Thriller

Monsters. They don’t hide in your nightmares. They steal you away from the good life and prevent you from living your dreams.

That’s where 17-year-old Gwendolyn Fitzpatrick found herself; surrounded by wicked fiends after everything she thought she had was gone in the blink of an eye. She was shuffled away with one bag of memories miles away to a pair of foster parents that hardly had her best interests at hand. Forced to obey and listen to her caregiver’s commands, Gwendolyn buries her old self and focuses on the pain to become one of them.

A monster herself to seek vengeance.
While yearning for her teeming point to come, Gwendolyn starts to connect with another 17-year-old foster boy living with her who calls himself Welch. Just when Gwendolyn starts to feel faith splice its way through the venom of pain, the connection she has with Welch is put in jeopardy as the harshness gets worse with each passing day.

Will the two tattered spirits make it out alive?

My 5 Star review

Gwen is a young woman that had not a care in the world...well that is until she lost both of her parents in a horrible car accident. She is now 17 years old with nothing of her own while having to enter into the world as something new, a foster child. She never wanted this but the future is ever changing, that much I know for sure. While having to enter into this new lifestyle, Gwen is scared and lonely but she is dead set on not letting them see her cry.
After meeting Gwen, we then come to know Welch. He is a very broken young man who is soon to be 18 and eligible to get out of the hell hole he has come to know. Yep that’s right…he is in foster care too. And don’t get me wrong, most foster care parents are wonderful but there are those few that slip through the cracks and well unfortunately for Gwen and Welch they were dealt the wrong card. Anyways, back to Welch. This young man is sweet, gentle, and polite, that is as long as his foster parents are nowhere near. And when he meets Gwen, he becomes very determined to help save and comfort her through her transition as best he can.

So as you may gather from my previous statement in the above paragraph, Gwen and Welch literally live in HELL. Their foster parents are the devil. While reading this book all I wanted to do was go there and kick both of their asses and lock them up and throw away the key. How they ever passed the qualifications and evaluations for becoming foster parents, I will never know. But they are they absolute WORST!!
But even though the parents make me want to scream, Gwen and Welch make me all warm inside. I love both of these characters through and through but I will say that after reading this book I took a little piece of Welch and I tucked him safely inside my heart. This character is beyond inspiring and brave. When Gwen called him...
"My boy. My monster. My all. My savior. My wonderful fucking William Welch. My own Prince Charming."  She wasn't lying. He is all those and more!
Now this book is not your typical hearts and roses stuff, but it is about shit that people don't like to talk about. The shit that happens in real life. This bullshit happens to good, young, innocent people. All when they are in the need of someone the most. So it may not be all that gushy mushy stuff but it’s something that will truly break your soul. I’m not lying.

Mary E Palmerin will take you to dark places and she will bring you to your knees sobbing…BUT…then she will wipe your tears and bring you back to the light.
I read this book and cried about four times. And once I got to chapter 23, I actually texted the author and said Holy *ucking shit you just ripped my heart out!!!
All I can say is...
1.      You will love it.
2.      Have tissues close to you.
3.      Pour yourself a tall glass of wine first…you WILL need it!
