Review for The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez

Published date: June 11th, 2019
Genres: Humor, Ficton, Romance Novel, Contemporary Romance

Kristen Petersen is perfectly fine. She has friends she'd fight to the death for and the very best dog in the world: Stuntman Mike. In fact, everything's calm in the world of Kristen, until she starts to plan her best friend's wedding and meets the best man, Josh Copeland.
Josh is funny, sexy, stands up to her sarcasm, and is always one snack ahead of her hangry. Even Stuntman Mike adores him. But he wants a big family, and Kristen knows children are probably not a part of her future.
She's sure he'd be better off with someone else, someone who can give him everything he wants, so Kristen keeps him at arm's length: in the Friend Zone. But as their attraction grows, it's harder and harder to resist falling for the man who seems to be everything she's not allowed to have . . .

My ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review

I absolutely loved this book. My bestfriend Christine told me that I needed to read The Friend Zone. She said that I would love it and she was right.

The main character in this book was just like me. I mean her health was a little different than mine but our outcome was the exact same.

I suffered and still suffer with endometriosis and I was blessed to have 1 child before I had to have a partial hysterectomy at 21 years old.

(Sorry folks...spoiler)

But I love reading and it warms my heart when you pick up a book that you can relate to.

So thank you Abby Jimenez because the struggle is real and I am glad you wrote this incredible heart warming hilarious book!

While reading this book all I could of was Mr. McDreamy and Meredith Grey from Grey's Anatomy....so naturally The Fray was playing in my head!

New York Times bestselling author Tarryn Fisher delivers a pulse-pounding, fast-paced suspense novel that will leave you breathless. A thriller you won’t be able to put down!

You’ll have to grab a copy to find out why.

My 5 star review:

I have been sitting on this book since the beginning of December thanks to the Book of the Month Club. It was killing me not to rip the box open and dive into this story. I wanted to hold out so The Wives could be my first read of 2020.

The Wives is an eye opening story. It is a story of a troubled young woman and to be 100% honest with you I am still not sure if she was troubled before the loss or after the loss. I will tell you that my heart broke for Thursday. I don’t think I could ever come back from the loss that she endured, I don’t think I am that strong anymore.

While reading I was sitting in my husband’s recliner thinking what in the hell was going through Tarryn’s mind while she was writing this story. How did she even come up with the plot and then the twist?! I didn’t even see the twist coming at all.

When I say I was fully investing in this read….I was fully invested in this read. I read this book in one sitting. Once I started I knew that there was no going back, no putting it down, no working, no homework, and no cooking dinner.

The crazy thing is….I started this The Wives on a Thursday and I ended The Wives on a Thursday!

While reading this book Afraid by The Neighborhood was playing over and over again in my head.
