My top 20 reads of 2014!

2014 has been a pretty amazing year and I know that 2015 will be even better. It still blows my mind that authors still want me to read and review their books. What is even cooler is that readers actually want to read my reviews. It is pretty awesome! So here is a list of my top 10 books of 2014 and I will not put them in order because it will be to hard, and I don't want to cheat anyone out ;)

I do have to say that there are 2 authors that just blew me away this year and they are.......

Jason Luke wrote Interview with a Master, In Love with a Master, Vignettes of a Master, and Interview with a Porn Star. He is such an amazing author and he actually brought his character to life and that well.....is pretty damn awesome. I also know that he is currently working on his next project and I for one can't wait for it to come out!

Luke Young created the Friends with Benefits series. This series is hands down one of the funniest series I have ever read. Then he blew me away and wrote Gone Girl Parody: Go Away Girl and I have to say that this book really needs to be a movie. In my opinion everything he writes is brilliant, give him a subject and he will turn it into gold! He has also written.... Shrinkage, Chocolate Covered Billionaire Navy Seal: A Parody, and Chances Aren't

Archer's Voice is the story of a woman chained to the memory of one horrifying night and the man whose love is the key to her freedom. It is the story of a silent man who lives with an excruciating wound and the woman who helps him find his voice. It is the story of suffering, fate, and the transformative power of love.

Secrets.
Everyone has one.
Some are bigger than others.
And when secrets are revealed,
Some will heal you ...
And some will end you.

Kate Sedgwick’s life has been anything but typical. She’s endured hardship and tragedy, but throughout it all she remains happy and optimistic (there’s a reason her best friend Gus calls her Bright Side). Kate is strong-willed, funny, smart, and musically gifted. She’s also never believed in love. So when Kate leaves San Diego to attend college in the small town of Grant, Minnesota, the last thing she expects is to fall in love with Keller Banks.

They both feel it.

But they each have a reason to fight it.

They each have a secret.

And when secrets are revealed,

Some will heal you …

And some will end you.

Growing up the way I did, you’d think I’d be more screwed up than what I actually am.
Soon as I turned sixteen, I left that bump in the road I called home and took my chances on the street.
Best decision I ever made.
Now, at the age of twenty six, I’m educated, employed and damn good at my job.
My friends have become my family. Like me, they know what it’s like to grow up unloved.
But the saying is true.
The world makes way for those who know where they are going.
That’s me.
I know where I’m going and I’ll get there eventually. On my own terms and at my own pace.
But then there’s him.
I feel his eyes on me. I see him hiding in plain sight. He watches me.
He makes me feel.
It’s unconventional.
But it’s real.
I’m sure you’re wondering how a person falls in love with their stalker.
So am I.
This isn’t a story.
This is my life.

Run. That’s what Lyla Harper does best. With Rigdon, Kansas hundreds of miles away, she focuses on planting her roots and immersing herself in college life at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois.

She’s lonely with the exception of the incubi that will never vacate. With her emotions colliding, she’s once again faced with her vilest adversary; regression.

After all, a person can only pretend to be happy for so long. Davis Moore and the horrid events plague her mind as one text message tests her will to remain strong.

One afternoon in her public speaking lecture, circumstances change for Lyla when Professor Blaine Miller’s eyes meet hers. For the first time, she feels passion, lust and want. Will Blaine change her outlook on life or leave her empty, feeling like the girl she was years before?

Read this emotional tale about self-discovery, overcoming, growth, redemption, relapse, desire, and hope.

It's the interview like no other.

It's the interview of a lifetime.

It's THE Interview with a Master.
When Jonah Noble reveals details of his life within the world of BDSM, the tale he tells is intensely erotic, profoundly sensual, and brutally honest.
This is His world. His way.
There is only one question the man will not answer…

You’re not supposed to want the one who torments you.

When my stepbrother, Elec, came to live with us my senior year, I wasn’t prepared for how much of a jerk he’d be.

I hated that he took it out on me because he didn’t want to be here.
I hated that he brought girls from our high school back to his room.
But what I hated the most was the unwanted way my body reacted to him.

At first, I thought all he had going for him were his rock-hard tattooed abs and chiseled face. But things started changing between us, and it all came to a head one night.

Then, just as quickly as he’d come into my life, he was gone back to California.

It had been years since I’d seen Elec.

When tragedy struck our family, I’d have to face him again.

And holy hell, the teenager who made me crazy was now a man that drove me insane.

I had a feeling my heart was about to get broken again.

Stepbrother Dearest is a standalone novel.

Marriage can be a real nightmare; especially when your wife is a sociopath, who's either trying to kill you, frame you for her disappearance or maybe even both. Supported by his sister whose own behavior is inappropriate at best, a pair of lunatic detectives and in-laws with questionable motives, Rick Dunce tries to navigate the tricky waters of exactly how one should act when the woman he absolutely can’t stand disappears without a trace.

If this Husband-of-the-Year is truly responsible, did he act in self-defense or did one too many bizarre quiz questions or inane treasure hunt clues finally push him over the edge? Whether Winnie is missing, dead or just hiding out, the only thing that's certain is she's so far gone that it's not even funny— except that it is.

A parody of, Gone Girl, Gillian Flynn's acclaimed and runaway bestselling masterpiece, Go Away Girl, will leave you doubled over with laughter, gasping for breath and checking to see if your own ottoman can really balance on its side like that.

Please note that this parody was previously titled So Far Gone, Girl.

There is no sensation, no experience more delicious and tempting to the sense that the taste of forbidden love. The longing, the desire… the unquenched thirst for his touch. He was the man I was never supposed to love. I was supposed to hate him. I supposed part of me did and that is what made the desire so much more intense. He set a fire under my skin that burned white hot with every smoldering glance. He sets my soul ablaze, the slow burn of passion aching in every inch of my body.

Black Horse. The name haunted my dreams… But regardless of family vendettas, old hurts and contemptuous blood shed, the heart wants what it wants… The kingdom of my heart has only known one king, and his name is Colton McClain.

His family is known by his father’s nickname: Black Horse. Like one of the four horses flying out of the gates of hell, Tom “Black Horse” McClain ripped my world apart twenty years ago. I was only five when I found my mother and father dead in their beds, with Tom McClain standing over them with a blood stained butcher knife. He would have come for me, too, had my brother not saved me. I was the only one of my family to walk out of that house alive that night.
My brothers once considered Colton their best friend. Not anymore. Randy and Tim largely blame Colt for his father’s actions and take it to heart that I love the son of our parent’s killer. Colton is not to blame for their deaths, though… He was a victim, too. Now twenty years after murders, Black Horse is getting out of jail. He’s coming. He has a vendetta against me, because it was my testimony that put me away. Colt wants to hide me until he can take down his old man, but to hell with that. I have no intentions upon running. We cannot hide from this anymore.

Our past does not own us, and we owe it to our hearts to show the world that love can arise from the darkest of places. We just have to survive Black Horse to tell the tale.

Ripped from Heaven, Burned in Hell.

Caught and caged in beauty.
Beauty comes at a cost.
One man holds the key to our survival, to our freedom.
Find out how I lived and lost the greatest thing on earth.
Love.

Jake
I didn't see her coming and that will be my downfall.
She will ruin me, take everything from me, and give me everything I can't have.
I can't help her. I won't.
She is innocence. She is strength.
She is my piece of heaven in hell.
I’m not letting her go.

Five years ago, I left my fiancĂ©, hotter than hot Navy SEAL Kade Kelly, at the altar.

No, I’m not an idiot.

Yes, I had my reasons.

Now I’ve made a new life for myself working at a large firm in Richmond and I’ve left the past behind. Or so I thought.

Upon returning to my hometown of Serenity Point, Virginia, to take care of some business, I find that Kade’s now home for good and he’s none too happy about my being here.

Two months. That’s all I’m staying then I’m out of here. Unless I believe the town’s pink-haired psychic’s prediction. Or embrace the sense of belonging I feel at being back home. Or give in to the emotions stirring inside when Kade's attention is suddenly on me.

He scares the crap out of me.

He thrills me.

He used to tell me our love was bigger than the sky.
I always knew ours was a once-in-a-lifetime love. So how can he be so sure it can happen again?

Lives intersect only to be changed indefinitely.

Lauren
This isn't your typical girl meets boy. There isn't a glass slipper or Prince Charming. I've lived it and now it will be told. Welcome to my personal hell.

Derrick
Women are drawn to me like a moth to the flame, and like the moth not all of them continue on. Some are broken, others are damaged, and a few never make it out. I create my own rules in a world where I have nothing left to lose. Living is a game, and I'm the reigning champion by being stronger and smarter than my prey. This is your warning. If you radiate vulnerability, you could be my next victim. Don't try to hide. I'm not easily eluded.

Abbot
It started with me and now it will end with me. Some people call me an uncontrollable monster. I laugh at the mention of the word. Monsters have no control. I've got plenty. I don't kill without reason. I don't kill the innocent. I hunt the ones that deserve it, the real monsters, the ones without regret or a soul.

Beau Hale
She said that she was my best friend and then one day she wasn’t. Every day I live with the visible scars, but it’s the invisible ones that hurt the most. They are a constant reminder of everything I’ve lost as well as all the things that I’ll never have. I should be over this by now, it’s been years, but I can’t escape the memories that haunt me. Everyone around me is moving on with their life, so now I need to do the same. Tennis brought me to Columbia University, and I am quickly proving that I will not let anyone defeat me, past or present. I am in control now. Life has taught me the hard way to remember that. But after all this time, I’m still searching for an answer to the one question that is constantly burning in the back of my mind…why?

Leila Starling
He said that he was my best friend, and then one day he wasn’t. It took one moment to change my entire life. What I thought I knew became a lie and nothing was ever the same. Slowly, I picked up the pieces and focused on what I could control…me. I live in New York City and attend one of the world’s most prestigious fashion and design schools. Day after day, I am getting closer and closer to making my dreams come true. I did this all on my own and no one can ever take it from me. I know my future is bright, even if my heart is destined to stay in the dark. The dull ache that still lingers is my daily reminder to rely on no one but myself. Although, after all this time, I still can’t help but wonder…why?

They say when you take revenge against another you lose a part of your innocence.

But I'm not innocent.

I haven't been for a very long time.

My innocence was stolen from me. Taken was the life I was supposed to have. The soul I was born with. The ruby heart embedded in a life full of hopes and dreams.

Gone.

Vanished.

I never even had a choice.

I mourn that life. Mourn the what-ifs.

Until now.

I'm ready to take back what was always meant to be mine.

But every plan has a fatal flaw. Sometimes it's the heart.

I have traveled many roads, but riding the road to winning her heart is proving to be my greatest journey yet... "Nothing brings me so much pain and pleasure, like her mouth."
My name is Striker Black and this is my story...
Have you ever made a choice that changed everything? A decision that set off a chain of events that you could not control. Have you ever been torn between wishing to go back and change one night if it could repair all of the lives you ruined or being glad that it happened because it brought you, the most precious gift life had to offer?
As long as I can remember, I have sworn to protect her, to give her everything she ever needed. I waited so long for her to put her faith in me to trust in me to cherish her and I failed her. Letting down the one person who mattered most to me broke me, letting her go about nearly killed me.

After 12 years, 4 months and 1 and 1/2 weeks of marriage, his wife packs up and leaves with their daughter. So he writes an Indie novel. And it becomes a bestseller. Well, sort of.

His fame brings him the lifestyle of a rockstar, and he has the fan mail (i.e. female undergarments, probably clean) to prove it.

But seeing his fame, his wife suddenly believes in marriage counseling. Their homework: to create something beautiful for each other.

So he writes Our Story, his literary secret-weapon that will win his wife back. But in the process he discovers that true love is more than just ticking the right boxes on a checklist. It starts with... well... }i{ .

This no-holds barred, sexy New York Times bestseller pushes the envelope like no other novel has as it spins the titillating, enticing tale of one man who teaches women everything they need to know to make their partners happy in the bedroom…while making their own wildest fantasies come true.
Right now, you're probably asking yourself two things: Who am I? And, what the hell are you doing here? Let's start with the most obvious question, shall we?
You're here, ladies, because you can't f*ck.

Oh, stop it. Don't cringe. No one under the age of 80 clutches their pearls. You might as well get used to it, because for the next six weeks, you're going to hear that word a lot. And you're going to say it a lot. Go ahead, try it out on your tongue. F*ck. F***ck. Ok, good. Now where were we? If you enrolled yourself in this program then you are wholly aware that you're a lousy lay. Good for you. Admitting it is half the battle. For those of you that have been sent here by your husband or significant other, dry your tears and get over it. You've been given a gift, ladies. The gift of mind-blowing, wall-climbing, multiple-orgasm-inducing sex. You have the opportunity to f*ck like a porn star. And I guarantee, you will when I'm done with you.
And who am I? Well, for the next six weeks, I will be your lover, your teacher, your best friend, and your worst enemy. Your every-f*cking-thing. I'm the one who is going to save your relationship and your sex life.

I am Justice Drake.
And I turn housewives into whores. Now...who's first?
