Lily and Sasha are two young women in their twenties.
They live in Sydney, Australia. The two sisters lost their parents in a head on
collision at the hands of a drunk driver, inheriting the family farm in result
of the tragedy. That was three years ago. Now, they are ready to travel to the
states so they can see, taste, and smell what they have never gotten too. They
have recently decided to travel the world, to finally live the life they lost
after their parents untimely deaths because they don’t want to look back when
they’ve gotten too old and have any regrets.
Jake is a fox and he is hunting his prey. He is a
handsome man and woman fawn over him. Hell he can get a woman to strip in a
public place with just one look. He is a monster and the devil’s assistant. He
is a bad man and knows it but doesn’t even care. All he cares about is his
prize and that is the head of the organization that he works for.
Before heading off to New Orleans, Lily and Sasha go to
a club in New York on their last night in the city. However, little do they
know, they have been watched for days now and their hunter will take them
before they even see it coming.
This book will shock you like no other has. About half
way through You Loved Me at My Darkest, you
will be asking yourself the same question I asked myself: what would I do if
that was me?
I cried while reading this book. I not only wanted to
put those men through the same hell they put the women through; I wanted to
kill all those perverted men. I then wanted to hold those girls and let them
know they were safe now and give them the world. You will have a lot of your
emotions running while reading this book. I can promise you that. I really wish
the ratings went to 10 because this book deserves every single one those 10
stars. Five stars are just not enough in my mind for how excellent You Loved Me at My Darkest is.
Evie Harper, you did a phenomenal job with this book. I
would love to just pick your brain for awhile about it. I am having a hard time
getting my mind wrapped around it still. I haven’t been able to stop thinking
about all the characters in this book. Still, even as I write this I can’t help
but think of them. So I can only imagine how and what your heart was feeling
while writing this book. Thank you for writing such an emotional tale. It will
forever be with me.
Oh before I forget, there will be a second book to this
amazing story. So don’t get your hopes up just yet. We will get more.
