Review for Roomies by Christina Lauren

From subway to Broadway to happily ever after. Modern love in all its thrill, hilarity, and uncertainty has never been so compulsively readable as in New York Times bestselling author Christina Lauren’s romantic novel.
Marriages of convenience are so...inconvenient.

For months Holland Bakker has invented excuses to descend into the subway station near her apartment, drawn to the captivating music performed by her street musician crush. Lacking the nerve to actually talk to the gorgeous stranger, fate steps in one night in the form of a drunken attacker. Calvin Mcloughlin rescues her, but quickly disappears when the police start asking questions.

Using the only resource she has to pay the brilliant musician back, Holland gets Calvin an audition with her uncle, Broadway’s hottest musical director. When the tryout goes better than even Holland could have imagined, Calvin is set for a great entry into Broadway—until his reason for disappearing earlier becomes clear: he’s in the country illegally, his student visa having expired years ago.

Seeing that her uncle needs Calvin as much as Calvin needs him, a wild idea takes hold of her. Impulsively, she marries the Irishman, her infatuation a secret only to him. As their relationship evolves and Calvin becomes the darling of Broadway—in the middle of the theatrics and the acting-not-acting—will Holland and Calvin to realize that they both stopped pretending a long time ago?

My 5 star review

I devoured this book in less than two hours. I simply could not get enough of these adorable characters.

Also I am a HUGE fan of Christina Lauren. I totally stalk them on social media too.

Holland is this young woman who feels like her life has no purpose in New York. She is from a small town and grew up on a farm. Curtis is this young guitar player who plays for the love of music more than the money.

When these two meet their worlds are turned upside down. Or shall I say when Curtis finally meets Holland his world is turned upside down.

This is the cutest story ever and you will be devoted till the end, I promise you. I felt as if my whole life was vested in these two characters.

I promise you will love it and them as well. Oh my...I can't even tell you how much you will love her Uncle's Robert and Jeff. I mean I want them to adopt me!!!!

There isn't one bad thing about this read at all. I can assure that you will adore every word. If you are not a Christina Lauren fan you will be now. Oh and if you aren't as of yet, what is wrong with you. (Jk)

Review for The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen

When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous ex-wife.

You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle.
Assume nothing.
Twisted and deliciously chilling, Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen's The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.
Read between the lies.

My 5 star review:

Holy mother of pearl!
Holy mother of pearl!

This book literally had my on the edge of my seat the entire time. I was thinking so many different things and I didn't know what was real and what was not.

My girlfriend Anne Marie lent me this book to read and I begged her to tell me about it...but she wouldn't say a word.

There are so many characters in this book that will drive you insane and will leave you wanting to ripe your hair out.

I really want to spoil this book for you and tell you everything about it but I would never do something like that.

I will tell you that this book is freaking awesome. The writing is brilliant and they will have you thinking one way and then BOOM you blow our minds with something out of the left field.

Omg....this book was so good!!!!

One last thing... women are fierce creatures! You back us in a corner and we will fight till the death to break free.

Happy reading

Review for The Kissing Booth by Beth Reekles

The Kissing Booth
by
Beth Reekles

NOW A NETFLIX MOVIE STARRING MOLLY RINGWALD AND JOEY KING!
A cool, sexy romance novel written by seventeen-year-old British sensation Beth Reekles.

Meet Rochelle “Elle” Evans: pretty, popular—and never been kissed. Meet Noah Flynn: badass, volatile—and a total player.

When Elle decides to run a kissing booth at her school's Spring Carnival, she locks lips with Noah and her life is turned upside down. Her head says to keep away, but her heart wants to draw closer. This romance seems far from a fairy tale.

Is Elle headed for heartbreak or will she get her happily ever after?

My 5 star review:

I know I am super late reading this book. But to be completely honest I didn't even know that there was a book. I seen previews for The Kissing Booth on Netflix and my 2 daughters said we have to watch this.

Then one day I was scrolling through Facebook and boom...The Kissing Booth book. So naturally I couldn't watch the movie with my girls until I finished the book.

So I finished the book in less than 2 days and I mean my 36 year old self is sitting at her desk during lunch trying to finish this bad boy.

Holy mother of pearl...NOAH be still my beating heart. This guy had be swooning every time he opened his mouth.

This book was hands down a 5 star read. 5 star!!!!!

Now with that being said. My oldest daughter is 12 and she has watched The Kissing Booth 6 times now. It is so cute because when Noah kisses Elle she covers her face and says "I can't even".

With all that being said I was not a fan of the movie. I feel like I should of watch the movie first. The book had my mind all over the place and the movie had me begging for the book.

I can honestly say that I hope there is a book two because I have to know what in the heck happens to the two of these crazy kids. The author pretty much leaves it to your imagination, which if I am being honest can be scary place.

Give me book two. I need book two and I want it now!
