Still Life with Strings
by L.H. Cosway
My name is Jade Lennon and I stand still for money.
The night I saw Shane Arthur watching me everything changed. A man in a suit always catches my eye, but it was the way he looked at me that was different. Like he knew me or something. He didn’t know me, especially not in my costume. My sobriety rests on staying away from men, but there was something about him that made me throw caution to the wind.
After all, I was never going to see him again, right?
Wrong.
Standing still isn’t the only way I make my money. I also bartend at a concert hall. Never in my wildest dreams did I think Shane was going to show up there. Not only that, but he’s the most recent addition to the orchestra. So now on a daily basis I have to resist one of the most beautiful men I’ve ever met and he plays the violin. For me that’s one hell of a deadly cocktail.
He wants me to teach him how to live. I’m not sure how much a twenty-six year old recovering alcoholic who works in a bar and moonlights as a living statue can teach a world class concert violinist, but I’m sure going to try.
Not suitable for readers under 18 years. Contains strong language and scenes of a sexual nature

My 5 star review
L.H. Cosway you are truly amazing. I loved Painted
Faces and I adored every character that you had in that book. I actually
thought… “Man how can she come up with another book after writing something so incredible” Well I was very wrong. This book is beyond incredible!
Jade Lennon is like a breath of fresh air. Her
character makes you want to hold her and never let her go. Then you
just want to sit down and tell her that she is precious and that everything
will be ok. This girl, excuse this woman is just damn. I mean she has been
through some crap in her life and she is still just looking out for her family.
I love this characters imagination.
Shane Arthur is a sexy man who makes me what to
learn how to play the violin. He may have a sexy face, hot body, and crazy amazing violin
skills, but he is just as broken as jade. Hearing what he went through makes
you just want to slap a chick for him. Or at least that is what I wanted to do. OMG and his mother is a real piece of work too.
This story will suck you in and take you places you
have never been before. Jade will say one thing and then in her mind she will
drag you into her world and you can actually see what she sees. Like I said
before this book is incredible. Yes there are characters in every book that you
love to hate and Shane’s mother is one of them. But hey you will figure that
out all on your own, once you read this book for yourself.
So
literally at 2% into the book this is what got me and took a hold of me and
didn’t let me go until I was done reading. This right here is only a piece of a small
sample of this amazing story.
At
eighteen years of age, he never knew true grief until he saw her crying on the
six o’clock news.
It
was so palpable he could almost mould it with his hands.
His
fingers itched to create a melody that would be the musical embodiment of her
mourning.
So
he picked up his violin and began to play.
