Review: Shadow Dancer by Addison Kline

Shadow Dancer

By

Addison Kline

Some secrets should just stay buried. On the day Tristan Morrow is born her mother goes missing, prompting an investigation that produces no solid leads. Fast forward 15 years, and the Morrow family still doesn’t know the truth behind Catherine Morrow’s disappearance. When 15 year old Tristan is required to write a biography on her mother for a school assignment, she learns the truth about her mother’s fate, and is hell-bent upon finding out who was responsible for her death. But when Tristan herself goes missing too, everyone is suspect, even her own father. Set in rural Fox Hollow, PA, Shadow Dancer unravels a web of lies, deceit, madness and corruption. Can investigators crack the case before Tristan meets the same fate as her mother? And who is responsible for the disappearances? There is much uncertainty as the investigation unfolds, but there is one thing that is certain: Tristan Morrow holds the master key to the entire riddle.

My 5 star review

Let me start by saying thank you to Addison Kline for asking and wanting me to be your beta reader. I enjoyed every moment of reading Shadow Dancer. Thank you!

Now Jack Morrow is a man with a haunted soul. He lost the love of his life and the mother of his five children. Jack may be raw but he truly has a heart of gold.

Catherine was Jack’s wife but sadly she dies shortly after giving birth to her beautiful baby girl, Tristian. And no she didn’t die from giving birth, if that is what you were wondering.

So, Liam, Adam, Tommy, Blake, and Tristian are Jack and Catherine’s children. They are not the only characters in this book so please keep in mind that there are a lot more to just them and I will not and cannot go into detail on all of them. Plus you need to get to know them yourself. So if you want to know more on any of the Shadow Dancer characters pick up the book and start reading. You won’t regret it.

Now I will give you just a peek into the world of Tristian, the youngest of the Morrow children.

Mr. Kendrick’s is Tommy, Blake, and Tristian’s English teacher. He has each of them do an assignment that involves writing about different family members. And the family he has chosen Tristian do a report on is her mother. Well as we know her mother died. But Tristian was never told of what happened and has always thought her mother just up and left without even a kiss goodbye. So how is she supposed to do a report on a woman she has come to hate? Will she find out the truth about her mother? And how will that affect Tristian and her feelings about Catherine?

I will tell you this; there are a lot of secrets buried within in this family. And until now no one has ever thought to dig up those secrets and share them. That is until Tristian was assigned this impossible assignment. Come check out Addison Kline’s book now and see what secrets are reveled.

This book was so freaking amazing it caught and held my attention from beginning to end. It took me only two days to read but only because I had to work and read the book in two parts. Even as I read I would message Addison and tell her what I thought about each character. I even cried like a baby in the second to the last chapter and I am not ashamed to admit that. Addison will get you so hooked on this story you will feel like she’s been holding onto a secret herself. Shadow Dancer was such an amazing story that I can sincerely tell you, I am so ready to read book two!

Addison you did an amazing job with this book. I loved it!! Thank you again.
