My 5 Star Review 

First things first, I have to say that I was scared to read this book. Only because I heard a lot of different things about it and I mean I am a huge Colleen Hoover fan so some things were a bit harder to understand than others. And being a fan of hers means I have read all her books! And I have loved each one. I even got to meet Colleen Hoover twice this year!! And the first time I met her I also got the chance to meet a woman named Megan. It is because of Megan that I got Ugly Love and once I started reading it was over from there. I was hooked!! So thank you Colleen Hoover and Megan!!

Miles Archer is this guy who is so not who I thought he would be. I mean in my mind he is this sexy ass beast who is dark and mysterious but once you read further into the pages of this book there is SO much more to him. He is lost, very broken, unfixable, scared, and I didn’t know if I wanted to slap him or hug him at times. He truly caught me off guard and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. 

Tate Collins is this amazing 23 year old woman, who is as cute as can be and stronger than she knows. Hell she is a lot stronger than I am that is for sure. Tate moves in with her brother so she can go back to school and still work. And not long after her move she meets his next door neighbor Miles… If the attraction they felt instantly for each other isn’t something then the way they are together surely is. I could never get enough of these two. But with every great story there are secrets and pasts and well sometimes not so great outcomes. Then again that doesn’t stop some.

Now Miles does have a past that isn’t sweet and surely not pretty and he definitely keeps it to himself. He is a bona-fide workaholic if there ever was one. He works non-stop and …Shocked? Yeah I was too, trust me! Then one night when he was drunker than a skunk he meets Tate. And a piece of his wall breaks sending him into total shock because this wall is made of steel and it has been up for 6 years. Yeah well walls are made for breaking is all I have to say. It just takes a damn good person to bring them down.

Anyways, over thanksgiving weekend Tate and Miles decide that their attraction is too much to bear and hey a man and woman have needs! So they decide they want to fulfill each other’s needs. I can dig it and I am not one to judge them but I can say that once they decided this arrangement I was really scared and I had tons of butterflies in my tummy. But there is one line in this book that made my heart drop…and it is why I say that Tate is a strong woman. 

“Don’t ask about my past,” he says firmly. “And never expect a future.”

For any girl to hear that and still go forward takes a lot of strength and courage. I give her props for doing so; I definitely am not one of those girls. 

Now I am not sure who has read Ugly Love and who has not but if you haven’t this book is a must read! I think that this is the best book that Colleen Hoover has written by far. I mean this book is ugly that is for sure and it will break your heart into pieces but it will also leave you smiling with tears trailing down your cheeks, I promise!

I am in love with this man right above! Lord help me if I ever see him up close and personal. I am sorry Christian Grey....Who?!

I want to start by saying that I desperately need this book to become a movie and no not a movie on the Lifetime channel. I need this to be a movie on the big screen.

This book blew me away and pulled at my heartstrings the entire time. There is so much emotion in this book. When you look at the cover of this book it says a Love Story and let me tell you that this book is the prefect love story.

Connie is this character that I can truly relate too. She is an art dealer who in fact is very passionate about what she does. While reading this book she finds a painting and is in complete aww. Jason Luke work this book so beautifully that if you close your eyes, it is as if you can actually envision that masterpiece.

Blake was an artist who up and left many years ago and never wanted to be found. He is done and over the whole artist thing. No one knows where he is or why he even left in the first place.

Once Connie stubbles upon this very rare painting her entire world gets turned upside down and she is desperate to track down the artist...and there is no signature on this particular painting...

Now you already know that I will not tell you anymore about this book, because I truly need you to read this book for yourself. This book is so much more than words on paper. This book proves that when we find that special person we fight like hell to keep them. Then this book also proves that sometimes we need that special person to help put us back together again. I am a huge Jason Luke fan and everyone knows it. I mean I talk about him way too much and I may even have a mini crush on him too. BUT in all fairness I am sure every woman what has read his books feel this same exact way as I do.

Jason Luke has proven time and time again that he is in fact a Master at writing. I for one believe that this man can write any genre and it will be a 5 star read. I love every single detail in this book and I have to say move over Nicholas Sparks because now you have some competition!

My 5 star review

Zeke is one hell of a character. I have to say that I wasn't sure if I was going to like his character or not. I really thought he was a playboy...never love them and leave them kind of guy. BUT holy mother of pearl was I wrong. I literally fell in love with this sexy as hell character. When reading this book the words that came to my mind was...never judge and never compare.

Scarlett is a young woman who has been treated like poo from the opposite sex. I for one can say that I have 100% relate to this character. She is very guarded and will not let anyone in. Her wall is all the way up...you can barely see her face.

I can assure you that once you get to The Party chapter....you will put this book down and take a deep breath and you will need a drink of whatever it is that you have sitting next to you. Because it is HOT AS HELL!

The best part of this book is the Epilogue but I will not lie.... I was mad when I got to the last page because I didn't want the book to end. I need to know these characters entire future... (Fine...I threw my kindle on the bed and pouted like a damn baby)

Harper Bentley never disappoints. Every book she writes is a 5 Star read. This author will make you fall in love with her male characters and she will even have you loving her female characters too. So once again Harper Bentley you are turning me into a bookwhore. I adore you and I can't wait for book 3!

My 5 star review

Tanner is this hot sexy football player that wants a woman to love him for him and not for his money. I get that...I mean money can only bring you so much happiness. So he meets this crazy amazing chick Ashley and then in a careless blink of an eye their whole thing they have going on blows up in their face.

I have to say that this book is amazing. I like how I got to know how and what Tanner was feeling and I also got to know how Ashley was feeling too. I can honestly say that this man can and will bring you to your knees.

Some times when really bad things happen to us we tend to do the opposite of what we should actually do and well Ashley did that in book 2. I will not lie...I really wanted to shake some sense into this girl but I get why she did what she did.

Tanner on the other hand made me super mad but then once the light bulb went off he was incredible. My heart broke for this man. I mean I wanted to jump in my kindle and just hold him and tell him that everything would be ok.

Kimberley Bracco did one hell of a job with this book. I loved it and I have tears in my eyes the whole book. I love the fact that she wrote about something that does or has happen to the best of us and we don't know why it does but it just does.

Let’s just say by the ending of this book I was sobbing like a baby....In a very good way :)

I have to start by saying that T.L. Smith I flipping adore you and your writing. Here's to another 5 star read!!

Kyrone is this hot ass sexy guy that will and does get any girl he wants but he never sleeps with them twice. This man knows what he wants and he eventually always gets what he wants. He is more than just a hot sexy body, he is kind, loving, gentle, and so much more...But you have to be pretty damn special to be able to see that side of him.

Christina is this beautiful creature that is so not like all the other girls. She will go to a party with skinny jeans and a tee shirt on, where most girls try too hard with short skirts and heels. She is what some would call different and weird. I call her brilliant and amazing. This character is now one of my favorites...

Now trust me I want to go into detail and tell you this entire story because it is so damn good. This book is full of love, lust, secrets, and heart-break. I will not lie there is a particular part of this book where I had to put it down and wipe my eyes and take a deep breath. The writing that T.L. Smith gives you will rip through your skin and she will allow you to feel these characters emotions as they are feeling them.

I for one am so in love with this story. If I had it my way I would rip Kyrone right out of this book and make him be real. I liked him in the beginning and then once I got to the ending I feel head over heels for this character. He is the perfect man...yes rough around the edges, cocky, a pain in the ass, but one of a kind.

The best part of this book is this...

"Shoot for the stars, he would say to me. Dream as big as the ocean, you can do anything you want, anything. Just imagine you can and your possibilities are endless.

So that's what I am going to do, dream as big as the ocean, imagine like the sky above. No one can stop me."

Once I got to the end of the book I realized that this was more than words on my kindle. This story...these characters are inspiration. I know that  in our life’s we end up taking different paths most of the time they are not the original ones we dreamed of but that is what makes us even stronger than we were before.....and then it all makes sense when the time is right.

T. L. Smith bravo with this book. You have my brain running circles and now at the age of 32, you have me dreaming bigger and better things and you now have me wanting to color my hair blue ;)

April's Book List
