Praise for Volition:
"It’s twisted, emotional, different, and will tear your soul out. It’s
extremely addictive, and I put it down for only necessary functions such as
eating and sleeping. When I wasn’t reading this book it was consuming my
thoughts. Not only is the story a beautiful one of love, soul mates,
relationships, and self-discovery, but the writing is darkly poetic." -
Emily (Books & Cleverness)
"A read that will keep you on your toes until the very end.
Genius!" - Makayla (The Book Life)
"This is a twisted tale... that you can relate to." - Bryce
(Novels to Song)
"The story was lined with black and drowned in glitter... Volition is
one of those books that makes you reflect on life's past, present, and
future." - Abbey (Books a la Mode)
Synopsis:
You know that feeling in the pit of your stomach that stays with you, then
tears you apart slowly at first, and all at once shreds every fiber of your
being?
It’s because you’re contradicting the universe.
Everything lines up so perfectly that you couldn’t have imagined it to work
out any better, but then you have to go and do everything humanly possible to
ruin it because you can’t stand to have it go right?
That’s what I did. I did it because there’s a darkness that surrounds me,
and I think I want it there.
My name is Tate McKenna, and my soul is blacker than my heart.
My 5 star
This book is crazy
amazing and that is the only way that I can explain it. I would have never
one-clicked this book if it wasn't for The book_ish_life. (on Instagram) She
talked about this book so much that I knew it was a must to read.
Tate McKenna thinks
her soul in blacker than her heart. I will say that this is not your average
character who has her stuff together. This women is so broken that you just
want to take her and fix her because she is just freaking amazing in her own
way. I am literally lost with this
review because it is just to perfect to talk about, it needs to be read. This
book is on another level.
I will tell you that
this..... Lily Paradis did an amazing job with this book and to me the
characters in this book are real and we can relate to each and everyone of them
if we are honest with ourselves.
So thank you Lily
Paradis for making me speechless & lost with writing my review. That is
pretty damn amazing! Bravo!!
Reading this book
will remind you that everything happens for a reason.
