Exclusive Excerpt:

TRUMAN GRITT LOCKED the door to Whiskey Automotive and stepped into the stormy September night. Sheets of rain blurred his vision, instantly drenching his jeans and T-shirt. A slow smile crept across his face as he tipped his chin up, soaking in the shower of freedom. He made his way around the dark building and climbed the wooden stairs to the deck outside his apartment. He could have used the interior door, but after being behind bars for six long years, Truman took advantage of the small pleasures he’d missed out on, like determining his own schedule, deciding when to eat and drink, and standing in the f**king rain if he wanted to. He leaned on the rough wooden railing, ignoring the splinters of wood piercing his tattooed forearms, squinted against the wetness, and scanned the cars in the junkyard they used for parts—and he used to rid himself of frustrations. He rested his leather boot on the metal box where he kept his painting supplies. Truman didn’t have much—his old extended-cab truck, which his friend Bear Whiskey had held on to for him while he was in prison, this apartment, and a solid job, both of which were compliments of the Whiskey family. The only family he had anymore.
Emotions he didn’t want to deal with burned in his gut, causing his chest to constrict. He turned to go inside, hoping to outrun thoughts of his own f**ked-up family, whom he’d tried—and failed—to save. His cell phone rang with his brother’s ringtone, “A Beautiful Lie” by 30 Seconds to Mars.
“F**k,” he muttered, debating letting the call go to voicemail, but six months of silence from his brother was a long time. Rain pelleted his back as he pressed his palm to the door to steady himself. The ringing stopped, and he blew out a breath he hadn’t realized he’d trapped inside. The phone rang again, and he froze.
He’d just freed himself from the dredges of hell that he’d been thrown into in an effort to save his brother. He didn’t need to get wrapped up in whatever mess the drug-addicted fool had gotten himself into. The call went to voicemail, and Truman eyed the metal box containing his painting supplies. Breathing like he’d been in a fight, he wished he could paint the frustration out of his head. When the phone rang for the third time in as many minutes, the third time since he was released from prison six months ago, he reluctantly answered.
“Quincy.” He hated the way his brother’s name came out sounding like the enemy. Quincy had been just a kid when Truman went to prison. Heavy breathing filled the airwaves. The hairs on Truman’s forearms and neck stood on end. He knew fear when he heard it. He could practically taste it as he ground his teeth together.
“I need you,” his brother’s tortured voice implored.
Need me? Truman had hunted down his brother after he was released from prison, and when he’d finally found him, Quincy was so high on crack he was nearly incoherent—but it didn’t take much for f**k off to come through loud and clear. What Quincy needed was rehab, but Truman knew from his tone that wasn’t the point of the call.
Before he could respond, his brother croaked out, “It’s Mom. She’s really bad.”

Review: The Boy Next Door: A Standalone Small Town Romance (Soulmates Series Book 3) By: Hazel Kelly

He was the one that got away, and I knew it before I ever broke things off with him.
I didn’t want to end it, but at the time I believed it was the right thing to do… Because of who he was, who he wanted to become, and because of where I came from.
I loved him more than I loved anything, but I thought he could do better.
Even then I knew I’d never be able to replicate the happiness I found with him.
I tried, of course, but based on my experience, I’ve come to believe there really is one right person for everyone.
And not only did I let my soulmate get away, I pushed him as far as he would go.
As a result, I was convinced I deserved every second of loneliness the universe handed me.
After all, I’d shunned the greatest gift it could offer anyone: True Love.
But luckily for me, it turns out the universe is just as stubborn as I am.
**Author's note: This is a full-length, standalone romance novel with no cliffhanger and no cheating. It is intended for a mature audience.

My 4.5 star review

I really enjoyed reading this book. I love all Hazel Kelly's books. She is pure Flipping genius. I can't wait to read what she comes up with next.
This book has everything you have ever wanted in the perfect boy girl next door Romance. Reading this book was almost like watching a movie about two young people falling in love then growing apart then getting older and then falling in love again.
This book was done perfectly and I am so extremely sad that I finished this book because I can read about these two characters all day long.

Hazel Kelly keep doing what you do because I am addicted to every word that you write.

About the Author:

Hazel Kelly has an overactive imagination and an obsession with reading that often interferes with her ability to prioritize other activities.

She also enjoys traveling, pastries, and long naps on the beach- preferably in that order.

When she needs a break from writing, she enjoys connecting with her super supportive fans for whom she is extremely grateful.

Cover Reveal for Zero F*cks by LK Collins

Zero F*cks Synopsis-

I fell in love with Cameron Hollis the moment I laid eyes on her.
She was everything to me.
We had nothing but a clean slate ahead of us, until the day I made the biggest mistake of my life.
I let her go. It was for her own good…at least that’s what I told myself.
That was five years ago. Now my tour is over, and I’m home.
Nothing matters without her.
But I won’t go after her, the guilt I have is too much to face.
I lied…about so many things, she’ll never look at me the same way.
Zero f*cks, that’s how I live now.

Part of me died the day Nixon Andrews broke my f*cking heart.
He became a Navy Seal and then decided the course of my future, like he had the f*ckin’ power.
Why?
Because he didn’t want to see me end up hurt. He was protecting me…from him.
But I didn’t need protecting, I just needed Nixon.
Even if he was halfway across the world, I needed to know that no matter what, we were going to be okay.
That was five years ago and still not a single word from him…

Review for Why Lie by Carey Heywood

People here think they know me. They assume things about me because of the way I dress and my tattoos.

I am so much more.

I thought you saw that. So, I let you in. You made it easy to fall for you. Turns out I was the only one falling.

I hope you're happy.
No, that's a lie and you're better than I am at telling those

My  5 Star Review

This book was amazing and I loved every word.

Sydney is a young lady who I get. I really enjoyed her character. She is sweet and feisty all in the same breath.

Heath is a man that most women to dream about. He is gentle and very loving and he shows it over and over again.

Now....again I love this book and I love the title because it fits perfectly with this story.

Heath and Sydney have been friend friends if you know what I mean and then she hears the worst gossip in the world.

Everything she knew is now destroyed. Every word out of his lying mouth means nothing.

Then the truth comes out and Heath fights like heck to try and right his wrongs.

I know you are sitting there thinking what she is talking about. Well go out and get this book and then you will get it all.

Why Lie is more than just a book to me. Why Lie is now my new motto in life. We all think that lying to spare someone's feelings is the right thing to do but it really is the complete opposite. Then that small lie blows up in our face and we end up hurting the ones that we never wanted to hurt.

So Why Lie!

My review for The Arrogant Architect by LK Collins

King is arrogant, cocky, and everything your heart tells you to stay away from.
Ever is sassy and strong willed.
Together these two are explosive...but getting there is a challenge. A challenge King happily accepts no matter how bad Ever fights it.

Synopsis-

Kingsley Lennox, AKA King, has been dubbed a genius of the architectural world. Anything he touches turns to gold, and being as successful as he is, his work is his number one priority. He doesn't have time to date or deal with the slew of women that gawk at him just because of his perfect face and chiseled body. Plus, no one has interested him enough to give a shit, until the smart mouthed Everly Adams, AKA Ever, wakes to the noise of him restoring the building next door to hers.

Ever, like King, doesn't have the time or the desire to date, she's been through so much. So when she meets King, she can't help but want nothing at all to do with the arrogant asshole. For one, they share nothing in common. For another, he's pompous, cocky, and throws his money around as if that will win her heart. Did I mention he's fucking crazy and very controlling? No, thank you!

But when King sets his mind to something, he accomplishes it...always has, always will. Ever is the biggest challenge he's faced, but will she be the only person he can't impress?

Can King win her over, all while hiding the truth about who he really is?
***This book is an Erotic Romance novel and contains mature subject matter. It is not intended for those under 18 years of age.***

My 5 star review:

LK Collins what are you doing to me!!!!!

This book was unbelievable and beautifully written. Oh and now King is added to my list.

King (the main character) touched my heart in more ways than one. He is an arrogant drop dead sexy man. He is constantly on the go and he is an amazing architect.

But as you know there is more to every story and with this book you get so much more.

Ever (another main character) is a young woman who is drowning in life. She lost her mother and I don't think she has really has coped with it. I mean let's be fair....do we really ever?!

Then like a Tornado Ever and King meet and both of their life change. Sometimes there are people that are put in our lives when we least except it and they are put there for many different reasons.

I am a very passionate readers and I believe that about books as well....because I needed this book in my life.

This book touches a very sensitive subject and I am so damn happy that I got the chance to read this book.

I laughed, cried, smiled, pouted, and a bunch of other stuff while reading this book.

Lk Collins you never disappoint me nor am I ever bored while reading your books. I love reading your books because you eat, breathe, and bleed every single word that is written on these very pages. It shows in each and every book that you write.

What I love the most is that at least one or more people can relate to every book that you write. These are real people and real stories.

So thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing what we as readers only dream about.

Review for Abby by LK Collins

From five-time bestselling author, LK Collins, comes ABBY, the riveting conclusion to LATCH, a one of a kind love story.

I followed my heart and took the leap of a lifetime. Leaving everything I’ve ever known behind, diving into the abyss of love. That consuming, sacred, life-changing feeling that takes you captive. And you would do the same, if Latch looked into your eyes the way he did mine.
He blurred everything else out.
It didn’t matter where we were…I was all that mattered.
Now, as I’m slipping – fading – remembering what we shared, I find peace in the darkness, because I have no regrets.

Every motherf*cking rule I’ve lived my life by went out the window the moment I laid eyes on her. Abby instantly turned my world upside down.
And from the second she gave in to me, I was a changed man.
Never the same again.
How could I be?
She was my once in a lifetime.
And now that she’s gone, every part of me is broken, shattered from the inside out.
The connection we shared was so strong that the memories alone will never be enough.
Placing the cold, black steel to my temple, I am reassured knowing that this…is the only way…

My 5 Star Review:

I just finished Abby. (Sorry it took so long I was packing and moving...lost my kindle is the mess)

I have read a lot of books and I have read every single one of LK Collins books too.

I can say that while reading this book I felt the love and sorrow that Abby and Latch felt. When their heart broken, mine broke. When they felt love and joy, I felt love and joy.

Latch and Abby story was beautiful, scary, loving, sexy, heartbreaking, and disastrous all at the same time.

I am sad to see this series end. It was very bitter sweet!

The best part of this book is the epilogue. I really just want to sit in a room and listen to Abby and Latch tell their story. Even though I can feel the words pouring off the pages....I still would love to shake hands with them both.

Lk Collins thank you again for yet another amazing book. Thank you for giving us Latch and Abby!
