Review: Unbreakable by Abby Reynolds

This is a stand alone novel. It is not a cliffhanger. And it is the first novel in the Forehead Kisses Series.

Can there be too many pieces to piece back together?

This is a question Keira faces every day. It’s impossible for her to go anywhere unaccompanied by her cousin, the only person who knows what happened on that horrific night a year ago. The guilt and pain weigh her down every day. Unwilling to open up to anyone and give someone a chance, she lives in solitude.

For her, that’s the only way to live.

Liam struggles with his own demons. After losing someone who means the world to him, he combats his anger and pain on a daily basis. He dives into violence and sex, losing himself more and more. But as soon as he meets Keira, he recognizes the same pain he suffers every day. And he pursues her, wanting to connect to someone who understands.

Keira can’t put herself back together, and neither can Liam. But can they do it together?

My 4 star review

Keira’s whole word came tumbling down all in one night. She had something horrible happen to her and then was told that her parents died while they were out looking for her. Now with all the guilt that she keeps inside, she will not open up to anyone. The only person she lets in is her cousin, Scott.

Liam is this hot MMA fighter. He is delisicous and has lots of money for such a young 20ish year old guy. He is still dealing with the death of his sister and has so much anger in him, that he goes into the ring and whoops and I mean whoops the crap out of his opponents. Not only does he turn to violence for relief, he also turns to sex. But he is a gentleman about it by always being up front with the woman he gets in bed with. All it’s sex to him, nothing else, nothing more, just sex. He does it to release the anger, even if it’s just to release it for only a little while.

Liam ends up meeting Keira’s cousin Scott, who invites him to come play some basketball. Now, Scott’s number one goal is to fix Keira. So he has her come along with them to play them to play basketball or at least watch, plus he doesn’t want to let her out of his sights so soon either. Yes, Scott is a little overprotective, but he is the only one that knows what happened. Keira knows that and though its irritating, she finds it comforting as well, that she at least has one person to talk to. At the basketball court Keira ignites Liam’s interest without even wanting to and now all Liam wants is her. He wants to know more about the girl who looks the other way and flinches when he is around.

Unbreakable is more than a love story with tortured pasts. This book is about love, letting go, forgiveness, and friendship. I was sad when this book ended because Abby Reynolds did a fabulous job sucking me in. I wanted more of Liam and Keira and I hope to get lots more of them. I loved how Liam took it slow with Keira and worked his ass off for her to let him in and give him a try. That is the most beautiful, rare, and precious part of their story.

Abby Reynolds I have no idea how you do what you do, but I love it. Never stop,!!! PLEASE!!!

Release Day: Dom Wars Final Round by Lucian Bane and Aden Lowe

Title: Dom Wars Round Six
Authors: Lucian Bane & Aden Lowe
Release Date: August 13, 2014
Genre: BDSM Erotic Romance

Synopsis:

RECOMMENDED FOR AGES EIGHTEEN AND UP DUE TO EXPLICIT SEXUAL SITUATIONS, AND STRONG LANGUAGE

When Gladiator Inc, an adult toy company expands their market to familiarize the ‘vanilla’ world with the elements of BDSM, the result is a pay-per-view reality show with video feeds streamed live to subscribers. The show, Dom Wars, is a competition to determine the Top Dom that will become the spokesperson for the company.
The contestants all wear cameras to film every moment and angle of the competition, while they complete various challenges to determine who has ultimately Dominated various elements of themselves.
The hero and heroine of the series, Lucian Bane and Tara Reese, have barely made it into the Sixth and Final Round of Dom Wars. This week-long Survival Round will determine the Top Dom, once and for all.
The contestants are taken to an uninhabited island, where they will have to cross formidable jungle terrain. First Dom to reach the boat anchored on the other side of the island wins the million dollars and the title.
Seems simple. Except Lucian’s old adversary, the Sadist Jase Duff from Round One, has been tasked with making sure none of the five teams make it to the boat.
If he is successful, he wins the prize, only it's not money that Jase Duff cares about, its revenge on Lucian and Tara. And his sadistic need to inflict pain makes it game on

                                                                                                                                                About the Authors:

Lucian Bane:

My name is Lucian Bane, and I'm an Ineffable Dom. That just means, do yourself a favor and please don't try to fit me into categories. Complicated Dom, Intricate Dom, or Confounding Dom work too.

I don't want a woman I can break, or overpower, or exercise my dominance over. I want a woman I can come undone with. I want a woman I can lose myself in.

I think there are many men like myself, and I hope my writing will be a map for them. (And women, to let them know Doms like this exist.) I want to challenge men to go for the complete power exchange with a woman, but don't be a coward and not give the same that they demand or expect. Consider that when you give one hundred percent of yourself to a person, there is no more of you to give away. You now belong to them the way they belong to you.

Inner Doms need a master to train them. I once bowed to my Dom's reckless and tireless desires, but when I gained control, he bowed to my will. The transformation made me into what I am today. What many would call an Ineffable Dom. But its equal term in the Vanilla world, in my opinion, is a real man

10 Fun Facts about Lucian…

I love salt and vinegar chips

I love coffee

I hate liver

I love the lonesome cry of locusts at dusk

I love antiques

I want to live off the land, in the mountains in a remote cabin with Tara and our future family

I love the smell of Pine Sol

Love the smell of a campfire

Love the smell of fresh cut grass

I love swimming in a cold river

I love sleeping with a box fan on (lol old habit)

Aden Lowe:

As an English major in college, I took a summer job as a proofreader for a small town newspaper, and got hooked on editing. I also worked my way through college training horses. After graduation, I landed a job for a small independent editing firm, and stayed there for 15 yrs. An old friend, Lucian, approached me to edit his special fiction project, and I got hooked. After an insane few months editing his Dom Wars series for him, Lucian convinced me I should try my hand at writing as well. I’m his co-author for Round Six, the final Dom Wars installment, and we will co-write the White Knight Academy series as well. And in Sept 2014, I’ll release my debut solo work, an Erotic Western with BDSM elements, “Big Game: A Hunted Love Novella”. In addition, I have a military series in the planning stages.

10 Fun Facts about Aden

Might, or might not, have bad dreams about penguins.

Had no idea who Justin Bieber was until a few days ago when Wheels enlightened me and changed my life forever. Not.

Until recently, hadn’t gone to see a movie at the theater since “The Horse Whisperer”. I’m not happy about sitting in the dark with that many strangers.

Loves babysitting the neighbors Little Doms, except when they’re flushing my bathroom rug, or doing something worse.

Drinks a mixture of coffee and hot cocoa instead of coffee.

Not into sports – balls aren’t intended to be hit, batted, kicked, thrown, or otherwise abused.

Lived up to a lifelong goal of making a woman wet her panties… just not in the intended way ;)

According to a certain Little Domme’s mom, big hands and feet mean big other things. And everybody knows moms know EVERYTHING.

Has a horse named Joe. Why Joe? Because it’s far easier to say “Joe, you bastard, you bite me and I’ll take your head off” than “Stardust Lucky Bastard, you bastard, you…”

Aden is NOT:   1. Afraid of bugs 2. Innocent 3. Sweet 4. A clean freak (Just can’t stand NOT clean)   5. A workaholic (OK, that one’s a fib) 6. A good liar 7. Intimidated by children who aren’t the Little Doms next door. 8. A Momma’s Boy (Close to and protective of Mom is different) 9. Unlikely to shoot a criminal coming through the front door 10. Above kicking a fool’s ass, literally or figuratively.

Review: Bethany's Awakening by RJ Redlynn

Bethany and her husband Tim had recently heated up their sex life. Now with the help of an adult home toy party, Bethany hopes to help her friends spice up their lives as well. As the drinks flow and as the group gets more comfortable with each other, erotic stories abound as each of the ten guests shares their tawdry tale. Their stories will excite you as much as it did them and with such a variety of guests, the stories are varied as well.

My 5 star review
Bethany’s Awakening is quite steamy and I enjoyed every word of it! To be completely honest, I was giggling like a school girl while reading this book. I also chocked on my drink quite a few times too. I like how all of the ladies told their stories and expressed their “sessions”. (That is what I like to call it)
Out of all of the ladies stories, I loved Hall Pass the most. Bethany and Tim you are the hottest supreme couple in my book. Tim did it so right when she got home. What he said to her gave me goose bumps.
Now if you have read my reviews before then you know that I tell my fiancée all about the books I read. This one was no exception. What did I say to him you might ask? Well, I asked him if he would ever give me a Hall Pass when Adam Levine came into town. I originally picked Slash, but he was not happy with that one. Maybe because I have loved him since I was 5 years old and now I am 32 years old. Hmm… Anyways he answered back with a big HELL NO! Which made me laugh and then we both just laughed about it all.
You will love this book especially since it is such an easy and delicious read. Once you start you will not be disappointed, I promise. Happy reading!

Review: Incandescent by River Savage

Incandescent (Knights Rebels MC #1)
By
River Savage

Phoenix ‘Nix’ Knight thought pulling his club out of the illegal shit his Pops got them into was difficult.

Until he meets Kadence.

Kadence Turner has no business lusting over a student’s father, especially the president of the Knights Rebels MC. Nix is crass, obnoxious and dangerously sexy and for some reason, Kadence can’t seem to hate him for it. The bossy biker breaks down her defenses, but unlike the old Kadence, the woman she is today won’t give in without a fight.

The tension is undeniable, the attraction fierce. A man that wants what he wants and a woman that will fight him every step of the way.

My 5 star review

Kadence is a smart, witty, sassy, and “I take zero crap from people” school teacher. But behind the beauty there are some ugly scars and she has worked her butt off to get past all the darkness that her ex-fiancée caused her.
Nix is a hot, sexy, strong, manly president of the Knights Rebels. My one word to describe this character would have to be Y.U.M.M.Y! This man has me wanting him to push my buttons and take me any which way he wants. He is a wonderful father and has worked so hard to turn the club into good and flush out evil his father let stew. Sexy…I know!
Nix and Kadence have an amazing relationship that even I am jealous of. They are sassy, funny, sexy, hot, steamy, and just jaw dropping fabulous. Incandescent has everything you want in a book. I was laughing one minute and was like “oh hell no” the next. This is book was so good that it made it to the top of my summer to read list. While lying out at the pool I was able to finish this book in less than four hours. Yes, Nix is that good. He had me drooling and wanting so much more, I even told me fiancée that he needs to read this book, to get some pointers…Sweet baby Jesus, I need to go out and find me some Nix, like right this second, I am hot for him. This man makes you want everything from him. I love that he is a cocky bastard. I know that sounds crazy, but when you read this book, you will feel the same exact way, I promise!
Thank you River Savage for writing this story and giving me Nix!! I can’t wait for book two!!

Drops of Rain By Kathryn Andrews

Ali Rain
Sometimes I think to myself, “How did I get here?”  Then the pain hits and I remember…it’s because she’s gone.  I now live in a new town, go to a new school, and I’m supposed to be moving on with my new life.  Only, I no longer know who I am anymore.  Dancing is all I have left and every day I feel completely alone.  Silence has become the theme song to my life.  She said to find some joy and light, but I don’t know how.  Mostly, I feel surrounded in darkness…that is until I meet him.

Drew Hale
I have only one goal, in 298 days I’m going to drive away from this small beach town and never return.  People are always watching me closely, too close, and I’m tired of wearing a mask. I need to be free.  Swimming is my ticket out of here and I remind myself daily to fly under the radar, stick to my routine, and under no circumstances let anything distract me.  I’m not as perfect as they think, most days I am drowning in guilt.  I’m not sure I will ever be able to escape the feelings of shame, worthlessness, and just being unwanted…that is until I meet her.

My 5 star review

I was in tears after only reading chapter one. I had to put the book down and run into the bathroom and just sit there for a moment. I can relate to Ali within just reading chapter one. What got me was the Swarovski dragonfly necklace that her mother bought for her before she died, I was able to not only relate but was able to feel Ali’s pain. That was it for me. That was the moment I knew this book was going to be something special. Drops of Rain is very emotional and I will guarantee you that your heart will break for all these characters. I want to hold Ali, Drew, Beau, and Matt and never let a bad thing happen to them. EVER!
Ali is 19 years old and just lost her mother to cancer. God I hate and loathe that “C” word. Being the only child, it is just Ali and her father now. Her father decides to up and leave their home and the lives they’ve established to move to Florida. Once they arrive, her father leaves her to be on her own and moves into a condo by his office. So Ali is alone after having lost her mother, whom was her best friend and her father wants nothing to do with her since the tragedy and would rather go it alone himself. She now has no one but her dancing to find comfort and dancing is everything to her.
Drew is the hottest athletic guy at his school, well besides his brother Beau. Drew, unlike his little brother, keeps to himself and focuses all his time on school and swimming, which leaves him with no time for anything else. But that is all he needs to focus on, so he can get out of this town and never look back. His father is an asshole and is always saying how Drew and Beau will never make it anywhere in life. Drew plans to prove him wrong in every way.
Drew and Ali cross paths and don’t even know each other even though they live right across the street from one another and go to the same school. Ali and Drew are different, yet simple in many ways. Can they find it in themselves to let someone else in? How will they find the strength to let go and live again? If you want to know, go check Kathryn Andrew’s book out and find out yourself. Don’t forget the tissues; you will certainly need them even within the first few pages.
I have to say that this book is definitely a keeper and I mean a keep close to my heart keeper.  Drops of Rain reminds me that you don’t really know what happens behind closed doors and things are not always as they seem. I was an emotional mess while reading it and towards the ending secrets come out and I was like “oh no this asshole needs to be punished”.  When I got to the ending though it was beautiful and the tears began to fall again.
Kathryn Andrews you did an amazing job with this book. Thank you so very much for wanting me to read your work. Your words are very inspiring, thank you.
