I can already tell that Sulfur Heights is going to be a hard series to swallow. I think my heart is going to break for all these characters in this series. But that is what makes a great book, when you can get emotionally attached to the characters.

Darcie literally has lived in Hell since she was 4 years old. It saddens my heart because I can somewhat relate to what this character has to endure. I mean she had it rough, no, she has it rough times 50!

Reggie is a strong amazing man. He raised his twin brother and took in a child that got sold to his parents for drugs. His whole drive in life is to take care of his own. He happens to be in the right area at the right time and saves Darcie from hell. He literally took her from the pits of hell and nursed her back to life.

Well, how can you really come back to life after living in hell for so long? I can’t tell you without spoiling the book but man can this story mess with your emotions. This book is mind-blowing, scary, sad, emotional, and raw. I will be honest and say that I was an emotional wreck while reading this book. Robert is a piece of shit and I wanted to rack his ass through coal. Yes, that emotional!

All the characters in this book are amazing in their own way and they all love each other and will go to bat for one another. I guess that is why I love this book and know that I will love every book in the series. Reggie, Jeremy, Jake, Drake, Darcie, and Presley are the characters that will tug on your heartstrings for sure. This book is not a fairytale “I am in love” kind of book. Sulfur Heights is damn near close to how real life is and I am sure someone can relate or knows someone that can relate to this story.

I loved it and I can’t wait to read all of them So M.S. Brannon congrats to you on writing your not so average book series.

My 4 star review

 

Hollywood Sins is a heart breaking journey into Adra’s life. It is more than a book to me though. It is like a Lifetime mini-series. The book is a beautiful, dark, brave, amazing, heart-breaking, gut-wrenching, soul searching, wonderful story that will bring forth emotions you thought you never had.. This is my first read of NK Smith’s work and I can promise you that it will not be my last.

Adra is a beautiful woman who has been an actress since she was a child. Her parents were all about pushing her to be someone famous. I was not a big fan of her mother, however. I think her mother only saw Adra as a paycheck, rather than a daughter. Her father was her mother’s puppet, in my opinion. Adra goes through a lot and gets caught up in a world she isn’t meant for. She hits rock bottom but then gets help and brings herself back to life with a lot of support and amazing people.

Peter is Adra’s best friend. They have been friends for many years and their friendship is so cute to me. Adra has always had a thing for him but, it was always wrong timing or she felt like she wasn’t good enough for him. Peter is sexy to me and not just because he is sexy. It is more about his attitude and how he fights for what he wants. He is an actor because he loves it, not so he can get a paycheck.

Now that you know a little bit about these two please keep in mind that there are other characters in this story. I liked all of the characters in this story, some I didn’t care for as much as others there are some that I loved a lot. I loved this book, especially because, I am a huge fan of real, raw, and emotional stuff and this story has all of the above. NK Smith did a fabulous job, and I sincerely mean that. I felt like I was in Adra’s world experiencing things right alongside her. I am so very happy how the book turned out, but also very sad that it ended. I would love to know more about Adra and Peter. Hint hint…NK Smith, LOL! So please, go out and get this book when it is released! You will love it!

I have been waiting for this book to come out. I literally pushed all my other books aside so I could start Finally Us the day that it went live. Harper Bentley, you never disappoint!

 

Ellen, aka El, is the love of Jag’s life and he has been in love with her for a very long time.

In Discovering Us and Finding US we get to see the two of them grow together. Yes, we all know that love isn’t perfect. There are always bumps in the road that we have to survive.

 

I was 70% into this book and I had to message Harper Bentley. I said, “OMG! This is me and Lee’s relationship.” Sounds crazy, but I am serious. I even read the book to my fiancée Lee and he totally agreed. We all have struggles in love and in life. El and Jag are no exception. That is what I love about The True Love trilogy. It is emotional, real, intense, and we can all relate to their story.

 

There are very few books that can live up to the first book, however, Harper Bentley went way over and beyond book one. I am being very honest when saying that I am truly sad that the story of El and Jag has come to an end. I loved their story and I never wanted it to end. What else would you expect from a great author like Harper Bentley? That is how great an author she is, always making you want more even when things have come to a close.

 

I was telling my friend about this book and she asked me describe it to me in one word…PERFECTION. That one word would have to be perfection, no doubts about it.

 

Why did I choose perfection you ask? Well, it is because Harper Bentley sucked me into the world of El and Jag. She gave me everything you can ever imagine and turned their Love story into the spitting image of perfection.

 

Congrats Harper Bentley on another successful book!!

OMG I just finished book 2 and I have to say that it is even better than book 1. I want to kick Andrew’s ass but I know he is only doing this to save his own heart. Grrr. I feel like I am going to go mad….. This book has more twist and turns in it. All I can say is that Ava is a big ass bitch, with a capital B. (sorry for the language mother) but this woman is down-right pain in my ass! AND poor Aubrey if it isn’t her parents and Andrew, this girl needs a big huge and an even bigger drink.

Whitney Grace Williams you are killing me with these short books. Andrew and Aubrey’s story need to be a damn novel that never ends. Because sweet mother of pearl I need Andrew and I need so much more of him right now.

Yes there is a What The Flip just happened on the very last page oh and you bet your ass I yelled that out loud and may have scared a few people too. I need to know what happens like right this second. So you have to be patient and I have to be patient and wait for book 3. I hope it comes out pretty damn soon because I know I will need my Andrew fix.

Andrew is a scared asshole who doesn’t like lies. I mean really Andrew I am right there with you because I hate lies too. But I need to know why you ran and bolted. This book is really good and I need to know so much. I mean all the sex and the lies…. It is so good. SO GOOD!!

Whitney Grace Williams you out did yourself with this short story. He has me wishing that I did some online dating…(just kidding baby, you know I love you) I mean Andrew with the hands above the head and I will tell you when you can do … your thing. AND Aubrey I can honestly say that I am super jealous of that girl, cause I really want to take her place. PLEASE!!!

All I can say is that these books are very short but please read them because they are so good and she will leave you with one hell of a cliffhanger but book 2 is out so you should be ok. Ask me what I am doing right now… Ummm buying book 2 as we speak, I mean as I type. LOL
