About Zoe

“If you don’t like to read, you haven’t found the right book.”

Heeeey!

I’m Zoe and a graduate journalist and now an Account Manager at a Digital Marketing company, who has had a passion for books since I was a little girl, ever since I was given my first Jacqueline Wilson book and since then I have absolutely loved reading.
My blog has been going for just over a year now and thanks to my love of books, I have made some amazing friends – both book bloggers and authors – and I had to privilege of meeting some of them. Damn the ones in America ;)

I love recommending books to everyone. I feel that if a book has grasped my heartstrings and made me feel every bit of emotion in that book, then I have to pimp it out and get other people to read it. Tell me what kind of book you are looking for, and I will tell you which one you should read. I get told off quite a lot by people as the books I recommend distract them from things they should be doing. That is the best part of being a book blogger – you can sympathize with each other when you cannot put a book down because it has you hooked.
I also love finding new authors to read.

New authors have a tough time getting the recognition they deserve, and as a lover of NA and self-pubbed book, I speak and pimp out a lot of indie authors – many who have become close friends of mine. Many books I have read are self-pubbed and nearly every book on my kindle is too. You could definitely say I am an indie book whore!

From being a journalism graduate, our lecturers always told us how important it was to have a brand so people can begin to recognize you. My brand is The Book Lovers and my Twitter page is also under the same name. My dream is to open up my own publishing house and no matter how long it takes, whether it’s a success or failure, I have at least attempted to fulfill my dream.

As well as posting reviews on my site, I am also a casual volunteer book reviewer on the online magazine FemaleFirst.co.uk so if you head over to their website, you can see some of my reviews on their website. (the link shows four of my reviews….I have posted seven so far)

Sunday Fun Day....Things that could be a deal breaker

Things that could be a deal breaker.....

By Cecily Bonney and Lee Million

1. Call someone elses name in bed.

Defintely not something you should do, especially when you are both going at it hot and heavy. You not only punish him...you punish yourself too. Then you better be ready for the 101 questions, the yelling, and the throwing of things.

2. Sucking in bed....

Having a woman just lay there under me and not doing anything but just laying there. I hate having to tell a woman what to do and how I like it. Not willing to please the other person...if you know what I mean. (a total deal breaker

3. Not passing the friend test....
I hate bring a guy that I really like around my friends, and then having my girls tell me later what a douchebag he is. Then it makes it hard to hangout with him because I know they won't be hangout with us together.

4. Flat asses....
I am not a fan of a woman with no ass. It doesnt have to be huge but cuffable. I am a man with animal tendies, I will bend you over and I need something to hold onto and slap every once in a while. I like the jiggle. Sorry ladies I tell the truth. Men you know what I am talking about.

5. Kissing, making-out, swapping spit
I need a good kisser. What I don't need is you shouving your tongue down my throat and please for the love god don't lick my teeth. You nasty! I am a fan of lightly nibbling on my lip and sucking on them. Just saying. Ok. I am sorry I got a little carried away there.

.

Thank you for sitting there and reading me and Lee's Sunday Fun Day blog... Yes we are that silly crazy couple that just sets around and thinks of random questions to ask each other. So we figured why not share them with you all.

Review for Sinners at the Altar by Olivia Cunning

Sinner at the Altar (Sinners on Tour #6)
4 Stars!!!!

I am a huge fan of Olivia Cunnings. I love the Sinners on Tour Series, every book had all of my 100% attention.

Even Sinners need love...

Sinners at the Altar
includes four complete wedding stories, each about a different member of the rock band Sinners. These novellas are intended to be read after the Sinners on Tour series as each story is an epilogue to a different book in the series and thus riddled with major spoilers for not only individual books, but in some cases, the entire series.

When Sinners tie the knot, things don't always go as planned.

Appetite for Seduction - Epilogue to
Backstage Pass
Lead guitarist Brian Sinclair may have finally won Professor Myrna Evans heart and her consent to wed, but being part of a high-maintenance band might just ruin his long-anticipated wedding day and steamy wedding night. Will the couple ever find a moment's peace or are some things more important than a night of uninhibited love-making?

My review:

Brian Sinclair I still need and want you! I fell in love with you first! Appetite for Seduction was AMAZING! Brian and Myrna are one hot couple!

She makes me want to be a professor! I really loved this chapter and yes it is my favorite! Oh Myrna I need you to teach me that thing you do to Brian too!

Sweet Love of Mine - Epilogue to Wicked Beat
Drummer Eric Sticks is determined to marry sweet and sassy soundboard operator, Rebekah Blake, on the spur of the moment. But can he really offer the love of his life the wedding of her dreams in a small, unplanned ceremony? And can Rebekah offer Eric the one thing missing from his life that never realized he wanted?

My Review:

Eric Sticks you are a cute, not a lie! I have to say that you can take me for a ride in your car any day! (We won’t tell Lee) Rebekah is such a cutie as well

and the two of them are the perfect couple. I love the whole shopping of the wedding dress scheme!

Patience - Epilogue to
Rock Hard
Lead singer Sed Lionheart never really wanted a big fancy wedding. He just wanted the girl. But his hot-tempered fiancée, Jessica Chase, has her heart set on a memorable ceremony and she is determined to persist through the aggravation to have the wedding of her dreams. The ceremony turns out to be memorable, all right, but not necessarily in the way they'd planned. Can the stressed-out couple recognize what's really important on their wedding day, or is the honeymoon over before it even begins?

My Review:

Sed Lionheart where have you been all my life!? (sorry Lee) In Rock Hard I got to, yes I have to say this..... got to watch you grow-up, shall I say.

I am so glad that you finally got your girl in the end! Jessica you my girl, I am jealous! You have tamed the Lion! This chapter was very cute and HOT!

.

November Rain - Epilogue to Hot Ticket
Professional dominatrix Aggie "Mistress V" Martin is madly in love with bassist Jace Seymour, but she's not in any real hurry to marry him. She's not really the wife "type". That all changes the moment she lays eyes on the perfect place to say "I do". With more than one obstacle in their path to wedded bliss, will these two ever make it down the aisle or will everything fall apart at the whim of others?

My Review:

Jace mister quite but really is soooo not what I expected you to be. Angie you are fierce and I am scared of you girl!

But I need you to teach me a thing or two please! Really I do! I totally enjoyed Hot Ticket and I also enjoyed this chapter as well. Oh and I LOVE the name of this chapter too!

So now you have my mini reviews for each chapter in this book! I am not 100% happy that Trey doesn’t have his own chapter, but I will look past that this time.  Over all this book was very cute and I really enjoyed reading about their weddings.  I am happy that my man is now a married man…Brian Sinclair you know who you are! **Wink, Wink** I am looking forward to her next book Sinners in Paradise!!!!! I have to say that I will never get tired of reading about the Sinners.

Her by Angel

Her

She is brilliant, funny, lovely, amazing, humble, and
simply perfectly imperfect.
I am so glad that we crossed paths and that I have her in my life. We are two halves of one soul. We share the most sad, darkest pasts that you can ever imagine. We are both very strong woman and we fight for what we want. She feel that she has flaws and she see all ugliness, but I don’t see any of that.
I see beauty, compassion, loyalty, and passion. I wish she could see what I see. She makes me feel strong and she will put me in my place if I start feeling sad and getting down on myself. I just want her to know that I believe in her and she should never give up on her dreams ever.
You my friend are worth everything and you deserve everything. You are a rare and precious treasure, please never forget that!

Review for Delilah: The Making of Red By: Jessica Sorensen

5 Stars

http://www.amazon.com/Delilah-The-Making-Jessica-Sorensen-ebook/dp/B00I829RZQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1396650951&sr=8-3&keywords=jessica+sorensen

Delilah Peirce: the Invisible Girl. Men crane their necks around Delilah just to catch a glimpse of her bombshell mother. Delilah knows looks of indifference, of friendship-but never of desire.

Then she meets Dylan Sanderson, the impossibly gorgeous guy who thinks she's beautiful. When he looks at her, she feels needed. When he kisses her, her troubles disappear. And when he tells her he will never hurt her, she believes him . . .

My Review:

First off holy hell this book has me wanting so much more!!!!!!! I have not read any books in the Nova Series but I am now!
Delilah breaks my heart big time. All she wants is to be loved and she will take anyone who looks her way. She is a ballerina and is a very beautiful girl and has her whole life ahead of her. Her mother pisses me off and I want to smack the shit out of her. Truth!
Dylan is hot, sexy and delicious but looks can be deceiving.  I wanted to kick my own ass for even thinking that Dylan would have a spot on my book boyfriend list. He is an asswipe and needs the shit beat out of him. I am sure you are thinking man Cecily you are violent. Umm just wait to you read this book and you will be thinking the same thing that I am thinking.
Like I said before I have not read any of the Nova Series books. I know this is a Novella but I want so much more of Delilah’s story!

Review for Then Came Alexandra By E.L. Todd

5 Stars

Then Came Alexandra
By E.L. Todd

**This full-length novel is the first in the Southern Love Series. It is NOT a stand alone novel.

THEN CAME ALEXANDRA, THE FIRST BOOK OF THE SOUTHERN LOVE SERIES

"You’re everything to me. More than everything."

Alexandra…

After a horrific accident working as a nurse in the emergency room, Alexandra becomes reclusive to the world around her. Unable to be speak or function, she pushes away her boyfriend, Paul, of two years. Her distance causes him to spend time with someone else…the betrayal causes her to pack her bags and leave everything behind. She doesn’t know what comfort she’ll find in Savannah, Georgia, but she flees anyway.

Blaise…

After inheriting the most lucrative cotton field in the south, Blaise has to become a man early in life. He spends his nights with different girls, knowing they are after his money and his special abilities in the bedroom, but he makes a serious mistake with Danielle. Now she lives with him and he guards a secret that he promises to keep…even though that secret is destroying his life. When Alexandra comes into town, her smile and compassion evident, Blaise wants her, and not just in a physical way. Unable to keep his distance, he falls for her, not knowing how long he can keep his secret…

My Review:

Where do I start

Alexandra is so scared of her past she will not let that go but she runs and makes her a new path in life! I can totally understand that when things happen in our life that is beyond our control we run and try to start over again. I   relate and I  understand Alexandra. I really connected with this character, but I did want to shake her a couple of times while reading this book. Alexandra is a gorgeous young lady who has a very promising career ahead of her, but is that what she really wants?

Martha is her aunt who loves Alexandra like a daughter. I have to say that Aunt Martha has my heart and I so would want her as an aunt. She is fierce, stubborn, and loves her guns!

Blaise is a whole different story! Blaise, Blaise, Blaise you can come and protect me any day of the week! Blaise is the exact example of a southern gentleman in my book. He is HOT, charming, and so caring it isn’t even funny. I feel for him though, he has so much responsibility that he has to carry and he just does it with no complaining. He doesn’t want to be in the cotton business but he does it for his family. Blaise has dreams of being a lawyer and he is trying little by little to make his dream  become a reality.

Paul is a douchbag who needs a good ass beating. Sorry I had to say it! Paul, you are not my favorite character at all and I hope you get what’s coming to you. Paul is a cheater and a liar! Yes he is cute and whatever but still dude you suck!

This story is so good it is full of lies and love. At the end of the day everyone has secrets that we are not willing to tell. Wrong…maybe but those are our secrets to tell. We just have to find the right person to bare our soul too! I Can’t wait for book 2 to come out, I am super excited to get my hands on it! I just have to say that I am a huge fan of Blaise! I love you. I have enjoyed every book that I have read by E.L. Todd and she never disappoints. EVER! I want to say thank you for allowing me to read your book, I am looking forward to reading many more books from you!

My favorite line in this book is "she was searching for an answer, but she hasn’t even found the question yet."

About the Author

My journey to this profession was slightly unorthodox. I received my bachelor's degree in biological sciences, worked as an award-winning researcher, and worked various jobs to pay the bills. While I enjoyed every moment of this adventure, it wasn't my passion. I've been writing since I was a young girl and have read anything that I can get my hands on. When people ask me what my favorite book is, I always respond, "All of them."

After I showed my work to my closest friends and gained their confidence, I realized that this is something I could commit my life to, something that I love. I never imagined--dreamed--that I could make a living as a writer. This is the greatest profession that I ever could have asked for, and I am so thankful for the support from everyone in my life. How many other jobs let you work in your pajamas?

My first novel, Soul Catcher, was released in August 2013, and my second novel, Soul Binders, will be released this fall. The Saga concludes in early 2014. I hope you've enjoyed reading this series as much as I've enjoyed writing it.

Release Day!!!!!!!!!! Hello LAlaland by Madi Merek

 Hello LAlaland

By Madi Merek

Paparazzi, vodka cocktails, and sex. Welcome to LAlaland.
Winifred Chapman isn’t thrilled with the idea of her ten year reunion; especially not the idea of returning to LAlaland. Even in the midst of her thrilling career, she’s managed to avoid LA as often as possible, which is saying a lot for a world-renowned fashion designer. She has a life which women everywhere would envy, and has everything she needs . . . or so she thinks.

Anthony Ricci was the most popular guy at Westlake High, and the one Winifred thought would never look twice at her. A former professional athlete, he now runs a successful Italian restaurant in New York City. When they run into each other at the reunion and give in to a widely passionate night, Anthony decides he may want more than Winifred is willing to give.

Hating being known by the men she’s dated or slept with, Winifred has learned to take what she needs from them without investing emotionally. When she discovers Anthony’s old desire for her and disappears after their night together, he refuses to give her up.

Will he be able to show her that love doesn’t have to be a battle, or will LAlaland prove to be enough to destroy her carefully constructed walls?

Meet Tony......

Rave Review...deserves ten damn stars, not five!

You are an awesome writer and this book freaking kicks ass. I am now officially in love with Tony and his sexy ass.
Again thank you so very much!!

I loved this book. I couldn't put this book down I had to finish it right away. The writing was amazing. The story line is brilliant, sexy, romantic, wonderful, and amazing. I loved all the characters.

Winifred is a strong, amazing, successful woman. She is head strong and knows exactly what she needs and doesn't need in her life. I admire this character very much. She will not let any man break her heart or come close to breaking her it.

Anthony is so...ummmm yummy! I could read about him all day long. He is strong, sexy, hot, manly, and successful too. He wears his heart on his sleeve for the woman that he loves. Tony is my new book boyfriend.

The history that the two of them have is crazy, sad, and makes me want to shake them both. Then I want to smile like a kid eating an ice cream cone for the first time. Yes this story is that damn good. I honestly could read this book over and over again.

I love how I got sucked into this story. I am so digging the ending of this book and I can't wait for book 2

Congrats on writing this freaking amazing story!!!! All I can say is that I am so glad that I got the chance to read this book and I am looking forward to reading so much more

I’m a literary and historical fiction novelist—a genre buster, really. My debut will be in the world of erotica.

I’m a lover of vintage, a dreamer and creator, and I burn up the stipulations of this world.
Feminist.

My debut novella, Hello LAlaland, will be released April 1, 2014.

Madi Merek was born and raised a country girl in the beautiful city Denver, Colorado. She spent her summers in the mountains on her family’s ranch and cabin, where she learned to fish, ride horses, and ride an ATV.

Madi steered far from the country boys she grew up with when she married a sexy, city-boy rock god from Los Angeles in July 2008. He’s an executive at a music publishing house, and has introduced her to a whole new world of music and bands. Their beautiful daughter, Scarlett Shoshannah Rose, was born in November 2010, and is their miracle.
hough Madi has worked a full time job in banking for 7 years, her real career is writing, and her very first novel was finished at fourteen. Jon and Madi spent several years in Los Angeles before moving back to Denver, but they plan to return home to LAlaland soon. Madi can’t wait to live by the beach and away from the snow once again.
